Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas — “What we’re seeing all across the economy now is what I call ‘destructive innovation,’ and its taking away the ability to predict our economy’s strength accurately,” <a href=”http://“>said Texas Insider’s Economic Council Chair Marc Flaster.

“We sit here with our cellphones, and now we know that Marriott is developing alternatives to renting just hotel rooms because their competition is AirBnB – and you’ll soon be able to rent not a hotel room from Marriott, but a house… and its because they recognize their competition is this ‘destructive innovation’ called AirBnB,” Flaster tells Insider’s Jim Cardle.
