Several Storm-Related Wrecks Result in One Serious Injury

Tuesday’s storms resulted in several crashes, one which involved a serious injury.

College Station police reported a three vehicle wreck Tuesday shortly before noon on the freeway northbound at Harvey Road. The driver of a two ton pickup was ticketed for failing to control speed after rear-ending a SUV. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. A second pickup that swerved to miss the crash and landed in the muddy median. The northbound lanes were closed for about one hour to clear the scene.

Earlier Tuesday morning, there was a four vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Highway 6 south of College Station. Brazos County Sheriff’s chief deputy Jim Stewart tweeted the driver of a car that sustained major damage was taken to the hospital. Those in a semi and two other vehicles were not hurt.
