President Trump’s Historic Rescissions Package

I support President Trump’s decision to roll back over $15 billion in wasteful, government spending.

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington has a spending problem. President Trump and the Republican majorities in Congress continue to take steps to cut wasteful spending and restore our fiscal footing. By using the Impoundment Act, spending cuts or “rescissions” can be proposed under fast-track procedures in the House and Senate, meaning only 51 votes are needed in the Senate for approval.

IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL
President Trump was right to withdraw from the Iran Nuclear Deal. This naïve, dangerous deal threatens Israel and ensures Iran – the number one state sponsor of terror – has a path to a nuclear arsenal. President Obama chose to go it alone when it became clear that neither the House nor Senate would approve this flawed pact, which Iran has violated from the very start.

RESULTS ARE IN…

This week is National Police Week and Congress will recognize the invaluable, brave service provided by law enforcement officers across the country. In addition, Congress will consider three bills to support law enforcement by: ensuring they have the resources needed to prosecute sexual assault crimes; enabling correctional officers to better protect their own safety; and encouraging the creation of alliances between police and their communities.
