In two weeks, the Bryan city council will take action on a consultant’s contract that could lead to annexation on the city’s west and north sides.
Earlier this week, there was no opposition to hiring a consultant to study annexation in and around the RELLIS campus.
The contract cost would not exceed $115,000 dollars.
The staff presentation was made by the city’s planning manager, Martin Zimmerman.
Zimmerman also brought up new annexation laws passed by the legislature last year.
Zimmerman also answered questions about the possibility of annexation south of RELLIS in the area where Blinn College owns property at Leonard Road and FM 2818.
