The city of Bryan has a new parks and recreation director. City manager Kean Register announced at the end of Tuesday’s city council meeting the hiring of Linda Cornelius. She is moving to Bryan from a similar position in Highland Village…north of Dallas. Register says Cornelius was also the director in Boerne, and at one time was a recreation superintendent in College Station.
Register also updated the council on development activities. That includes the city development services office receiving plans for two projects in west Bryan. One is a German specialty grocery chain, LIDL locating at West Villa Maria and Harvey Mitchell. And a 240 unit apartment complex will be built at the corner of Harvey Mitchell and Leonard Road.
