For the first time, Blinn College classes between the fall and spring semesters were all online.
But that didn’t stop this year’s winter minimester headcount from setting a record for the seventh straight year.
Blinn reported eight percent increases in both headcount and the number of contact hours, compared to a year ago.
Registration for spring semester classes at Blinn continues through next Monday.
From Blinn College:
Blinn College enrolled 1,845 students for the Winter 2018 Minimester, an 8.7 percent increase over the previous year and the highest Winter Minimester total in College history.
Students enrolled in 90,000 contact hours, an 8.1 percent increase. This marked the first year that all of Blinn’s minimester courses were offered online.
Since 2012, enrollment in Blinn’s Winter Minimester has increased by more than 80 percent, as students enjoy the convenience and affordability the minimester offers.
Winter Minimester allows students to take courses for college credit during the break between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Through Blinn’s Distance Learning Program, students can conveniently take their courses from home or while traveling.
Registration for Blinn’s Spring semester is open now and available through Monday, Jan. 15.
